What are the available warranty options for your products?
All equipment comes with a full manufacturer-backed warranty ranging from 12 months to 3 years depending on the equipment.
Extended warranty options, backed by the manufacturer, are also available for most equipment.

Many people think of Microfilm as old and obsolete technology however, you may be surprised to know Microfilm remains the only secure, extremely space efficient, incorruptible/unhackable and easy to access (needing only a light source and a lens) data storage medium with a lifespan of up to 500 years.
Where you are looking to access and scan existing microfilm, you would be looking for a micrographic scanner suited to the type of film you need to access. This might include 16mm or 35mm roll films, microfiche, aperture cards or micro-opaque cards.

What is the typical turnaround time for orders of scanners, archive writers, or micrographics equipment?
Delivery times can vary significantly as most of the equipment we supply is highly specialised, manufactured to order and imported.
Delivery times can range from 2 to 12 weeks.

Do you offer training and educational resources to users of the equipment you sell?
Yes. MES offers installation, configuration and operator training services with all equipment supplied by MES. This can be delivered on-site or remotely according to our clients’ needs.

MES are able to offer bulk purchase discounts on some equipment orders. As all equipment orders are customised to our clients requirements, contact us to discuss your equipment needs and we can provide details on whether your order will be eligible.
Long-term support contracts are available (up to 3 years in advance) and do provide a financial incentive along with the security and benefits that come with a proactive approach to equipment maintenance.

How does your company handle shipping and delivery of purchased equipment?
Consumables and spare parts are generally shipped via Express Post.
Domestic shipping of smaller equipment and items is handled via courier service.
Larger equipment is handled via freight carriers.
International transport is only via air freight.
All shipments are fully insured and we consult directly with our clients to arrange preferred delivery dates, locations and unloading logistics in the case of larger equipment shipments.

What is the process for returning or exchanging equipment if needed?
As all equipment is custom ordered, MES do not offer returns or refunds.
We do however take the time to work with you through the evaluation and order process to ensure the equipment ordered is the right fit for your needs.
As we are a full service supplier (meaning we are here to support you throughout the life of your equipment), where equipment is found to be faulty, under the terms of the manufacturer warranty, we will ensure that the fault is rectified.

What technical support options are available for troubleshooting and assistance with the equipment?
MES has been providing technical support to equipment users for over 50 years.
We are expertly trained and backed by the equipment manufacturers to be able to provide the highest level of technical expertise.
Support services are able to be carried out online (phone and email), remotely (via video conference and remote connection), via back-to-base servicing (for smaller equipment items) and onsite as required.

MES technical support staff are expertly trained and backed by the equipment manufacturers in order to provide the highest level of technical expertise.
Maintenance and servicing of equipment is carried out in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations and frequency is generally determined by the amount of use the equipment gets.
Depending on the equipment, this can be undertaken via remote support, back-to-base servicing or at your site.

Are there any ongoing software updates or upgrades included with the purchase of the equipment?
All equipment comes with the required software and licence(s) to operate it.
Most equipment brands we supply provide software updates for free as they become available.
In some cases, upgrades are chargeable.
